G:~ /FE]3-~4-93 <br />~V/ _ y.~ <br />WED 1 Eo- 49 D I EMEF2T <br />ORDINANCE NO. 92-Z6 {as amended) <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Pietrafese and Council ds a whole <br />AN EMERGENCY QRDINANCE. <br />AMENDING $ECTIQN 971.Q6 OF TAE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES RELATYNG TO FAZ,SE AT~A,RMS AND CTVYL <br />~'ENATrTIES 'xHEREFORE <br />P' 10 <br />WHEREAS, the Village has been experiencing a number of false <br />alarms either through negligence or ma].functio»ing equipmentp and <br />WHEREAS, such false alarms are Costly to the Village <br />taxpayers, and dangerous in that the equipment and man power are <br />diverted while responding to said alarms taking them away from <br />availability for the rest of the Village. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT QRDAINED BY' THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, T~IAT: <br />SEC~'.IoN ~ That Section 971.06 oP the Codified Ordinances is <br />hereby and herein amended to read as follows: <br />971.0 FALSE ALARMS; PENALTY. <br />r,-- <br />'~, <br />(a) NO pezson, firm or company shall install, control, or <br />have on their premises, any alarm equipment resulting in <br />calls to the Fire or Police Departments which has less <br />than the level of maintenance necessary to prevent false <br />a3.arms from being emitted. <br />(b) Any persax~, firm or corporation allowing false alax~fis to <br />be emitted to the Police or Fire Departments, shall <br />receive two warnings as to Fire, and four warnings for <br />false $olice alarms, within any one year period, for <br />Which no genalty w~.ll be assessed.
