ORDINANCE NO. 92-27 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Pietrafese and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH J. AND P. <br />SWINGLE PLUMBING AND HEATING, INC. FOR <br />AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE EXHAUST SYSTEM <br />IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Department building is in need of an <br />emergency vehicle exhaust system; and <br />WHEREAS, a quotation has been submitted by J. and P. Swingle <br />Plumbing and Heating, Inc., for an amount of Thirty-Five Thousand <br />Dollars ($35,000.00) for such emergency vehicle exhaust system; and <br />WHEREAS, it is immediately necessary to install such a system <br />for the protection of the health, safety and welfare of our <br />employees. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into an agreement with J. and P. Swingle Plumbing <br />and Heating, Inc. for an amount not to exceed Thirty-Five Thousand <br />Dollars ($35,000.00) as and for an emergency vehicle exhaust system <br />as quoted in their correspondence of May 7, 1992, to the Mayfield <br />Fire Department. <br />SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is authorized to make <br />payment for the purchase authorized in Section 1 hereof out of the <br />appropriate fund. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof.
