10/7/92 <br />`` GRDINANCE NO. 92-34 (As Amended) <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Pietrafese and Council as a Whole <br />Art ORDINANCE <br />REVISING THE ZONE MAP OF MAYF'IELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, SO AS TO AMEND THE USE <br />CLASSIFICATION OF APPROXIMATELY TWO HUNDRED <br />ACRES OF LAND LOCATED NORTH OF HIGHLAND ROAD, <br />WEST OF S.O.M. CENTER ROAD, EAST OF <br />I-271, AND SOUTH OF THE NORTHERN PROPERTY <br />LINE OF ALL MIDVALE AVENUE LOTS, FROM ITS <br />OFFICE LABORATORY DISTRICT AND PRODUCTION- <br />DISTRIBUTION DISTRICT, `I'O SINGLE FAMILY <br />RESIDEDITIAL DISTRICT (U-1) <br />WHEREAS, the subject property is located north of Highland <br />Road, west of S.O.M. Center Road, east of I-271, and south of the <br />northern property line of rill Midvale Avenue lots, and is comprised <br />of what has commonly been referred to as "layer cake" zoning, <br />comprised of approximately two hundred acres of which approximately <br />ninety-seven acres is zoned Office Laboratory District and about <br />one hundred three acres is zoned Production-Distribution District, <br />and all of which is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and is <br />visually depicted in the shaded portions of the map included as <br />part of Exhibit "A"; and <br />WHEREAS, t11e unshaded portions of Exhibit "A" are currently <br />zoned single family residential, and shall remain as such after <br />adoption of this zoning change by the voters; and <br />WHEREAS, the aforementioned property was the subject matter of <br />a detailed development study by the professional community planning <br />firm of Robert C. Hill, Inc., done over the course of several years <br />and as part of a Village-wide master plan study and preparation; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Ordinance has been referred to the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission for report and recommendation per Article ..-iTI, <br />Sections 12, and 13, of the Mayfield Village Charter; and <br />WHEREAS, said Ordinance has been read at two successive <br />Council meetings, and thereafter a public hearing was held later_ <br />than thirty days after the second reading, and prior to the third <br />reading thereof, after having been advertised thirty days in <br />advance in a newspaper of general circtxlati.on throughout the <br />Village, per Article ITI, Section 13 of the Charter; and <br />WFIEREAS, said Ord:~nance has been referred to the ivtayfield <br />Village electors for approval by a majority of the votez•s, per <br />Article III, Section 14 of the Mayfield Village Charter. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE ICI' ORDAIrIED BY THE COUNCIL OF I~.AYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, `T'HAT: <br /> <br />
