ORDINANCE NO. 92-38 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Pietrafese and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH VELOTTA PAVING <br />COMPANY FOR ASPHALT INSTALLATION AT THE <br />COMPOST AREA OF THE SERVICE FACILITY SITE <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised pursuant to the law for <br />certain installation of asphalt at the compost area at the Service <br />Facility Site; and <br />WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid as recommended by the Village <br />Engineer is Velotta Paving Company in the amount of Twelve Thousand <br />Nine Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($12,989.00). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into an agreement with Velotta Paving Company in <br />the amount of Twelve Thousand Nine Hundred Eight-Nine Dollars <br />($12,989.00) as and for the asphalt portion of the compost area at <br />the Service Facility Site. <br />SECTION 2. That the Director of Finance is authorized to make <br />payment to Velotta Paving Company for the aforementioned work in an <br />amount not to exceed the sum indicated. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof.
