RESOLUTION NO. 92- 14 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Pietrafese and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL ACCOUNT <br />KNOWN AS THE "PROMOTION AND BENEFIT ACCOUNT" <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to authorize the Mayor to <br />make certain expenditures on behalf of the Mayor and Council and <br />Village for employees as well as other business associates of the <br />Village, or public representatives with whom the Village has <br />certain contacts; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to establish such account <br />and to maintain a balance not to exceed One Thousand Dollars <br />($1,000.00). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That there is hereby and herein created an account <br />to be known as the "Promotion and Benefit Account", out of which <br />the Mayor, at his discretion, and with notice to Council,.may make <br />expenditures for such things as sympathy and get well cards, floral <br />arrangements, luncheons for Village business, and such other <br />promotional and employee benefit matters on behalf of the Village, <br />the administration and Council members. <br />SECTION 2. The sum of One <br />hereby and herein transferred <br />appropriated to said account for <br />Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) is <br />from the general fund and <br />the purposes aforesaid. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that such plan was necessary to encourage orderly <br />development in Mayfield Village. It shall, therefore, take effect <br />immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than <br />p"pproval by or or <br />five (5) members elected to Council a <br />otherwise at the earliest time allowid- bw law. 1--?
