RESOLUTION NO. 92- 16 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Pietrafese and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SEEK FINANCIAL <br />ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE ISSUE 2 <br />INFRASTRUCTURE BOND PROGRAM FUNDING OF <br />VARIOUS CAPITAL INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Article VIII, Section 2K of the Ohio <br />Gonstitution, the State of Ohio is authorized to issue bonds and <br />other obligations of the State for the purpose of financing public <br />infrastructure capital improvements of political subdivisions as <br />designated by law; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 164.06 of the Ohio Revised Code, <br />the District One Public Works Integrating Committee has been <br />created to accept, evaluate and recommend applications for state <br />financing of capital infrastructure improvement projects of <br />political subdivisions in Cuyahoga County; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 164.05 of the Ohio Revised Code, <br />the Ohio Public Works Commission has been created to accept and <br />approve applications for state financing of capital infrastructure <br />improvement projects of political subdivisions in Cuyahoga County; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Village has conducted a capital inventory and <br />needs assessment and has determined that it is necessary to submit <br />applications for financial assistance for capital infrastructure <br />improvement projects. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to apply to the <br />District One Public Works Integrating Committee and the Ohio Public <br />Works Commission for financial assistance for the following capital <br />infrastructure improvement projects: <br />1) Highland-SOM Center Intersection Widening and Traffic <br />Signalization Modification; <br />2) Upper 40 Detention Basin; <br />3) Composting Facility; <br />4) Metro Park Storm Sewers. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor is further authorized to enter into any <br />agreements as may be necessary and appropriate for obtaining this <br />financial assistance in conjunction with the recommendations of the
