Glenn
U.S. Senator
Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20500
Dear Senator Glenn:
The Mayfield Village Council recognizes that unless Congress acts promptly,
the Village may be required to obtain a permit for every outfall conveying rain
water run off, and to meet numerical effluent limits, which are impossible even for
our nation's larger cities. Accordingly, Council adopted Resolution No. 92-29 urging
Congress to oppose or delay the storm water mandates for communities with
populations of less than one hundred thousand before they go into effect on
October 1, 1992. A certified copy of the resolution is enclosed.
Mayor Blase Pietrafese and the Mayfield Village Council would sincerely
appreciate your efforts to delay the storm water mandates.
Sincerely,
Donna J. Heath
Executive Assistant/Clerk of Council
Endosure: Resolution No. 92-29
