RESOLUTION NO. 92- 43 <br />`INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Pietrafese and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF PHILLIP BRETT, <br />AND ESTABLISHING TERMS, CONDITION5 AND COMPENSATION <br />OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor's appointment of Phillip Brett as <br />Director of Finance for Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby confirmed <br />subject to the terms, conditions and compensation hereinafter <br />established. <br />SECTION 2. As Director of Finance of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />Phillip Brett shall be the head of the Finance Department and shall <br />be responsible for all fiscal matters concerning the Municipality. <br />He shall furthermore perform all duties specified by the Charter <br />and Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, with regard to the <br />Director of Finance and furthermore shall perform all duties <br />specified by the statutes of the State of Ohio in that same regard. <br />SECTION 3. As Director of Finance, Phillip Brett, shall be <br />required to be present at Village Hall an average of thirty (30) <br />hours per week in the office of the Municipal Finance Department to <br />perform the duties imposed upon him by this Resolution. Said times <br />to be mutually agreed upon between the Director of Finance and the <br />Mayor. He shall furthermore be required to attend all regular <br />meetings of Council and such other special meetings of Council when <br />specifically requested to so attend. He shall furthermore be <br />required to attend all meetings of the Finance Committee unless <br />excused by the Chairman of that Committee. <br />SECTION 4. As Director of Finance, Phillip Brett shall be <br />compensated at the rate of Thirty-Four Thousand Dollars <br />($34,000.00) per calendar year during the term of.this appointment. <br />In addition, he shall be entitled to Village paid family plan <br />medical insurance as provided to other employees of the village. <br />Also, he shall be entitled to participation in the Public Employees <br />Retirement System as are other employees of the Village. <br />SECTION 5. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 6. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents.of Mayfield Village.
