RESOLUTION NO. 2009-07 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTI30RIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH MARY TAYI,OR, CPA, AUDITOR OF STATE, <br />AND THE AUDITOR'S LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICES SECTION <br />FOR CERTAIN FINANCIAL SERVICES. <br />WHEREAS, based upon the recommendation of the Mayor and Interim Finance <br />Director Dave Miller, it is deemed by Council to be in the best interest of the health, <br />safety and welfare of all Village residents in the operations of this municipal <br />government to enter into an agreement with Mary Taylor, CPA, Auditor of State, and <br />the Auditor's Local Government Services Section, in order to perform certain fiscal <br />services, including but not limited to, the completion of the basic financial statements <br />for the Village for the year ending December 31, 2008. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to enter into this <br />agreement with Mary Taylor, CPA Auditor of State and the Local Government Services <br />Section in order to provide certain financial services for the audit year 2008 as more <br />fully set forth in the letter attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2. That the Director of Finance is authorized and directed to make <br />payment to Mary Taylor, CPA Auditor of State, for these financial services in an <br />amount not to exceed Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00). <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of <br />this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all <br />statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio <br />Revised Code.
