RESOLUTION NO. 2009-14 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rifflcer and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOI,UTION ESTABLISHING <br />A CELLULAR TELEPHONE POLICY <br />FOR ALL VILLAGE EMPLOYEES. <br />WHEREAS, the Village currently provides certain Village employees with <br />Village issued cellular telephones; and <br />WHEREAS, at this time and in accordance with the recommendation of <br />the Auditor of State, the Village deems it in its best interest to adopt a formal <br />written policy regarding the use of all Village issued cellular telephones. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />NIAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO: <br />SECTION 1. That the Village hereby adopts the Cellular Telephone Use <br />Policy attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2. That the Village hereby appoints each respective Department <br />Head as the individual responsible for the oversight of the Policy in their <br />departinent. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open <br />meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its <br />committees, resulting in such fonnal action, took place in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. It shall, therefore, take effect <br />immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5)
