ORDINANCE NO. 2007-04 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE CREATING CERTAIN POSITIONS AND <br />COMPENSATION RELATED THERETO FOR THE <br />VILLAGE'S 2007 SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Board is in the process of <br />establishing and preparing for the 2007 Summer Camp Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield and Mayfield City Schools Community Education <br />and Recreation will jointly sponsor Sports `N More, sharing costs and revenues; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation will receive atwenty-five percent <br />(25%) profit from the annual offering of Teen Adventure Camp jointly sponsored by Mayfield <br />Village and Mayfield Heights Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield will solely sponsor the Mayfield Junior Day Camp; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Board to contract out <br />for certain summer camp employees; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village of Mayfield to authorize the "Sports `N More" <br />and "Mayfield Junior Day Camp" and to authorize those positions and salaries as hereinafter set <br />forth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Board's establishment of the <br />"Sports `N More" and "Mayfield Junior Day Camp' are hereby and herein authorized, and the <br />positions for the operation of same are established as hereinafter set forth with the compensation <br />for each position category indicated adjacent thereto for the 2007 Summer Camp Season: <br />POSITION MAXIMUM COMPENSATION/SALARY RANGE <br />Snorts `N More: <br />Director Paid by Mayfield Community Education <br />Assistant Director Paid by Mayfield Community Education <br />Counselors $6.85 - $14.00 per hour <br />C.I.T. (Counselor in Training) $250.00 for the season <br />Lifeguards $7.00 - $14.00 per hour <br />
