ORDINANCE NO. 2007-04 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE CREATING CERTAIN POSITIONS AND COMPENSATION RELATED THERETO FOR THE VILLAGE'S 2007 SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Board is in the process of establishing and preparing for the 2007 Summer Camp Program; and WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield and Mayfield City Schools Community Education and Recreation will jointly sponsor Sports `N More, sharing costs and revenues; and WHEREAS, Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation will receive atwenty-five percent (25%) profit from the annual offering of Teen Adventure Camp jointly sponsored by Mayfield Village and Mayfield Heights Recreation; and WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield will solely sponsor the Mayfield Junior Day Camp; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Board to contract out for certain summer camp employees; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village of Mayfield to authorize the "Sports `N More" and "Mayfield Junior Day Camp" and to authorize those positions and salaries as hereinafter set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Board's establishment of the "Sports `N More" and "Mayfield Junior Day Camp' are hereby and herein authorized, and the positions for the operation of same are established as hereinafter set forth with the compensation for each position category indicated adjacent thereto for the 2007 Summer Camp Season: POSITION MAXIMUM COMPENSATION/SALARY RANGE Snorts `N More: Director Paid by Mayfield Community Education Assistant Director Paid by Mayfield Community Education Counselors $6.85 - $14.00 per hour C.I.T. (Counselor in Training) $250.00 for the season Lifeguards $7.00 - $14.00 per hour
