RESOLUTION NO. 2006-08 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION TO ADOPT <br />THE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield is located within the jurisdiction of the Cuyahoga <br />County Solid Waste Management District ("District"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste Management District Policy <br />Committee prepared and adopted a final draft of the Solid Waste Management Plan in <br />accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 3734.53, 3734.54 and 3734.55; and <br />WHEREAS, the District provided a copy of the Draft Final Solid Waste Management <br />Plan for ratification to each of the legislative authorities of the District; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield must decide whether it approves of said Solid <br />Waste Management Plan within ninety days of receipt of the Final Draft Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Village of Mayfield approves the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste <br />Management Plan. <br />SECTION 2. The Clerk is hereby directed to send the District a copy of this <br />resolution to the attention of Patrick J. Holland, Executive Director, Cuyahoga County Solid <br />Waste District, 323 Lakeside Avenue West, Suite 400, Cleveland, Ohio 44113. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this <br />Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents <br />of Mayfield Village. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the <br />
