~~~L~S~C[~LLL~t~ RESOLUTION 2006-26 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bruce G. Rinker and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO ROBERT F. DROBNICK WHEREAS, on or about July 11, 2005, Robert Drobnick began. employment with Mayfield Village as a part-time Building Inspector. WHEREAS, while employed with Mayfield Village, Robert Drobnick did an exemplary job up to the time he retired on October 20, 2006; and WHEREAS, Robert Drobnick (known to many as "Bob"), should also be applauded for his many years of service to communities and residents as follows: Bob began his career in 1970 as the Building Commissioner for the City of Euclid, Ohio, where he pioneered the point of sale home inspection program. Bob went on to Mentor, Ohio, serving as their Building Commissioner. Bob then went to Macedonia, where he worked full-time as their Building Commissioner until his retirement in 1995. From 1995 to October 2006, he worked part-time for three municipalities. Bob is a member of the Building Officials Conference of Northeast Ohio, International Association of Electrical Inspectors, Ohio Association of Plumbing Inspectors and Western Reserve Division of the I.A. E.I. Bob was inducted into the Euclid Sports Hall of Fame in 1990. He was the captain of both the football and basketball teams of Euclid Central High School, where he graduated in 1948. Bob and his wife Shirley were King and Queen of the Prom in 1948, married soon thereafter and have celebrated 50+ years of marriage. Up until recently, Bob refereed middle school and high school football and basketball games for the last 50 years. WHEREAS, Robert Drobniok's service, involvement, commitment and dedication to the Village should be commended. THAT: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, Robert F. Drobnick be and is hereby recognized for his many years of dedicated service to many communities, most especially Mayfield Village, Ohio and further that he be recognized as an Outstanding Citizen of Mayfield Village, Ohio SECTION 1. The Village of Mayfield, its Mayor, Council, residents, employers, employees and officials wish to thank Robert Drobnick for his dedicated service on behalf of the Village. He will be sorely missed. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took. place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
