739.04 ISSUANCE OF PERMIT; DUI2ATIOlV.
<br />Not more than five days after completion of the application form provided in Section
<br />739.03, the Mayor- Police Chief shall issue a^°?te permit of registration to the
<br />applicant unless he has determined:
<br />(a) That the applicant has made a false, misleading or deceptive statement in
<br />providing the information required under Section 739.03.
<br />(b) That the applicant has been convicted of a felony violation or
<br />misdemeanor violation involving moral turpitude during the past five years.
<br />(c) That the applicant has had a permit revoked within the previous vear for
<br />violations of soliciting regulations in the municipality or a surrounding municipalitv.
<br />Such ?egistfatio permit shall be valid for a period of nine4y fifteen LU5 days.
<br />Extensions ma y be granted bv the Police Chief, due to extenuating circumstances. No
<br />o,.;s+,..,+;,.,, ,.o,.+;f,.?+o permit issued hereunder shall be assigned or transferred to any
<br />other person.

<br />Each canvasser, peddler or solicitor shall carry in plain view, the permit or
<br />registration at all times when in the Municipalitv for the purposes set forth in the permit
<br />or registration. The shall same to anv resident or municipal officer and/or
<br />employee the permit or registration upon entering the property to the resident. At the
<br />conclusion of theperiod of time for which the permit or registration was issued, the
<br />permit and/or registration shall be returned to the Police Chief.
