ORDINANCE NO. 2006-06 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE PROPOSAL FROM <br />CT CONSULTANTS FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION <br />OF A LIGHTING PLAN FOR SOM CENTER ROAD <br />WHEREAS, the Village, pursuant to 153.65 through 153.71 solicited <br />proposals for the design and construction administration of a lighting plan for SOM <br />Center Road; and <br />WHEREAS, after a review of the proposals it is the recommendation of the <br />Village's Service Department and Engineer that the proposal from CT Consultant <br />be accepted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized to accept the proposal from CT <br />CONSULTANTS and to enter into any agreement necessary for the design and <br />construction administration of a lighting plan for SOM Center Road. The proposal <br />includes $15,000.00 for the preparation of construction plans; $18,000.00 for <br />construction administration related to the implementation of the lighting plan; and <br />the cost of $55.00 per hour for construction observation. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open <br />meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its <br />committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the <br />public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents <br />of Mayfield Village, Ohio.
