ORDINANCE NO. 2006-14 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 137.02 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE CREATING A SEPARATE PETTY CASH FUND FOR THE SERVICE AND BUILDING DEPARTMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to Codified Ordinance Section 137.02(a), a petty cash fund was established in the Service Department and Building Department in the total sum of $100.00; and WHEREAS, Council wishes to separate and create two distinct petty cash funds, one for the Service Department and one for the Building Department, each in the amount of $100.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. Section 137.02 of the Codified Ordinances, subsection (a), is hereby and herein amended to read as follows: 137.02 PETTY CASH FUND I (a) In accordance with all requirements imposed by the State of Ohio, there +s are hereby established a Petty Cash Funds in the Service Department and Building Department in the amount of $100.00 each, to be disbursed, accounted for, and replaced in accordance with all applicable provisions of law, in the total initial amount of $100.09, 200.00. SECTION 2. The rest and remainder of Section 137.02 shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio.
