ORDINANCE NO. 2006-20 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SELECTION OF RCU ARCHITECTS, INC. FOR THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A VILLAGE POLICE STATION AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH RCU ARCHITECTS, INC. FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES RELATED THERETO WHEREAS, the Village, pursuant to R.C. 153.65 through 153.71, solicited Qualification Statements from individuals and firms interested in providing design, surveying or construction management services to the Village; and WHEREAS, after legal notices were advertised, soliciting such individuals and firms, Qualification Statements were received and reviewed; and WHEREAS, thereafter RCU Architects, Inc. was found to be the most qualified firm to provide professional architectural design and development services for the Village's Police Station. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO THAT: , SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with RCU Architects, Inc., pursuant to the standard form of agreement between owner and architect attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A", who has been chosen to be the most qualified firm pursuant to the mandates of R.C. 153.65 through 153.71 to provide professional architectural services related to the design and development of the Village's Police Station. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
