ORDINANCE NO. 2005-56 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />CREATING CHAPTER 907 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES RELATING <br />TO THE CREATION OF A BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, the Village deems it to be in the best interest of its residents to <br />create a Beautification Committee to enforce a beautification code and standards <br />throughout the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, a Beautification Committee shall be established for the purpose of <br />identifying, defining, and coordinating and recommending beautification projects in the <br />Village; and <br />WHEREAS, this Committee shall interface with all other committees and <br />departments, particularly, but not limited to, the Citizen's Advisory Committee, the 20/20 <br />Vision and Implementation Committee, the Garden Club, the Village's Parks and <br />Recreation Department, all homeowner's associations and/or neighborhood <br />representatives, the Village's Service Department, the Village's Building Department, <br />property management, economic development, and the Village's Safety Forces, on an <br />"as needed" basis. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That there is hereby and herein created Chapter 907 of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the Village establishing a Beautification Committee to enforce a <br />beautification code and standards set forth therein, and designating its purpose, <br />compensation, and funding as indicated in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated <br />by reference. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of <br />this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all <br />statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio <br />Revised Code.
