RESOLUTION NO. 96-14 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />ADOPTING A POLICY AND PROCEDURE FOR QUALIFICATIONS <br />BASED SELECTION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, recently, the Ohio Revised Code was amended requiring <br />municipalities to adopt and follow a policy for the selection of <br />professional architects, engineers and surveyors in order to <br />provide professional design or construction management services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That a policy for the selection of professional <br />architects, engineers and surveyors in order to provide <br />professional design or construction management services to the <br />Village of Mayfield is hereby adopted, as set forth in Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2. This policy does not apply to any project with an <br />estimated professional design fee of less than $25,000 or any <br />project determined by Council to be an emergency requiring <br />immediate action including, but not limited to any projects <br />requiring multiple contracts let as a part of a program requiring <br />a large number of professional design firms of the same type. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />-~ actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. 'This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council .and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />MAR ~ FIXLE~ , <br />Council President <br />First Reading: May 20 ~ 1996 <br />Second Reading: une , 1996 <br />Third Reading: u y s , 1996 <br />
