RESOLUTION 96-23 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bruce G. Rinker and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO TODD VAN CAMPEN. WHEREAS, it is imperative that the Village government communicate with its citizens on the important issues facing it; and WHEREAS, it is often incumbent upon the news media to serve as a clearinghouse for such information; and WHEREAS, it is essential that news be communicated in a fair and objective manner; and WHEREAS, Todd has served as the News Herald's reporter covering Mayfield Village for the last 2-1/2 years; and WHEREAS, Todd Van Campen has done an exemplary job of communicating with elected and appointed officials of the Village; and WHEREAS, Todd has maintained the utmost professional standards of accurate and objective reporting; and _ WHEREAS, The News Herald has seen fit to promote Todd Van Campen to the position of Religion Editor and he will be leaving his assigned charge as a reporter for Mayfield Village; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Mayor Rinker and Council congratulate Todd VanCampen on his promotion to the position of Religion Editor and wish him continued success in his career. Section 1. The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio hereby express their gratitude and appreciation to Todd Van Campen and the News Herald for his professional work during his tenure as a reporter for Mayfield Village; and further wish Todd Van Campen the best of luck in his continued career with the News Herald. Section 2. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to prepare duplicate original copies of this Resolution. One such original shall be presented to Todd Van Campen. The other original shall be placed in the permanent records of the Village. Section 3. This resolution shall become effective upon its adoption by Council and the signature of the Mayor, or as may otherwise be provided by law.
