ORDINANCE NO. 96-2 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1383 RELEVANT TO THE OHIO BASIC BUILDING CODE WHEREAS, there have been a number of minor changes in the Ohio Basic Building Code which necessitate changing various references to Chapters and Articles in the Ohio Basic Building Code as referred to in the Codified Ordinances of the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. That Section 1383.03(b) is hereby and herein amended by changing the reference to Ohio Basic Building Code Section 907.01 to Ohio Basic Building Code Section 707.1. SECTION 2. That Sections 1383.03(f) and 1383.03(h) and 1383.06(a) are hereby and herein amended by changing all references to Ohio Basic Building Code Article 10 to Ohio Basic Building Code Article 9. SECTION 3. The rest and remainder of Chapter 1383 shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements includinq the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 5. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law.
