ORDINANCE NO. 96- 12 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO A CONTRACT WITH COSTIGAN'S OF AKRON, OHIO <br />FOR FURNISHING THE MAYFIELD VILLAGE FIRE STATION. <br />WHEREAS, it is already been deemed necessary and in the best <br />interest of the health, safety, and welfare of all of the Village <br />residents to construct a new fire station; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to law, bids were advertised by the Village, <br />those bids were received, and it was determined that the bid of <br />Costigan's of Akron, Ohio was the best bid for furnishing the fire <br />station. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to and directed to <br />enter into a contract with Costigan's of Akron, Ohio in order to <br />furnish the Mayfield Village Fire Station, pursuant to the bids and <br />specifications as advertised by the Village, and pursuant to that <br />company's bid in the amount of $20,588.47, as received by the <br />Village, which is hereby determined to be the best bid and pursuant <br />to the terms and conditions set forth in these documents which are <br />attached as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof.
