ORDINANCE NO. 96- 14 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />A CONTRACT WITH PHASE III FOR THE PURPOSES <br />OF WIRING THE NEW FIRE STATION FOR <br />TELEPHONE SERVICE. <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed necessary and in the best interest <br />of the health; safety, and welfare of all of the Village residents <br />to build a new fire station; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to law, bids were advertised by the Village <br />and those bids were received, and it was determined that the bid of <br />Phase III was the best bid for the purpose of wiring the new fire <br />station for telephone service. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract with Phase III for the purposes of wiring the new <br />fire station for telephone service, pursuant to the bids and <br />specifications as advertised by the Village, and pursuant to that <br />company's bid in the amount of $4,251.00, as received by the <br />Village, which is determined to be the best bid, and pursuant to <br />the terms and conditions as set forth in these documents, which are <br />attached as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Councii; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in 'the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the PZayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />MARK FIXLEg' <br />Council President
