ORDINANCE NO. 96-19 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />ANIEMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO A CONTRACT WITH B&C'COMMUNICATIONS <br />,FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWENTY PORTABLE RADIO UNITS FOR <br />USE BY THE MAYFIELD VILLAGE SAFETY FORCES. <br />i <br />WHEREAS, it has already been deemed necessary and in the best <br />interest in the health, safety, and welfare of all of the Village <br />residents to purchase portable radio units for use by the Mayfield <br />Village safety forces; and . <br />i <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to law, bids were advertised by the Village, <br />those bids were received, and it was determined that the bid of B&C <br />Communications was the best bid. <br />! <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE'IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the; Mayor is authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract with B&C!Communications for the purchase of twenty <br />(20) portable radio unit;s for use by the Mayfield Village Safety <br />Forces, pursuant to the bid and specifications as advertised by the <br />Village, and pursuant to that company's bid in the amount of <br />nineteen thousand fourteen and 00/100 dollars ($19,014.00) as <br />received by the Village,'which is determined to be the best bid, <br />and pursuant to the terms and conditions as set forth in these <br />documents, which shall be maintained by the Director of Finance. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council;_ and that <br />deliberat,ions of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal.,action, took?place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all Istatutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This 'Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />RK FIX ER <br />Council President <br />_.r
