ORDINANCE NO. 96-20 <br />?INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AWARDING THE 1996 STREET STRIPING CONTRACT <br />TO PAT FLOWERS, INC. <br />WHEREAS, it has already been deemed necessary and in the best <br />interest of the health , safety and welfare of all of the Village <br />residents to enter into a street striping contract for 1996; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to law, bids were advertised by the Village, <br />and the bid of Pat Flowers, Inc. was determined to be the lowest <br />and best bid. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />5ECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with Pat Flowers, Inc. for street <br />striping in the Village for 1996 pursuant to the bids and <br />specifications as advertised by the Village, and pursuant to that <br />company's bid in the amount of ten thousand four hundred twenty- <br />four dollars and forty cents ($10,424.40) as received by the <br />Village, which is determined to be the lowest and best bid. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof.
