<br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 96-"-!Cj <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL PRESIDENT TO <br />ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH S.E. JOHNSON COMPANIES, INC. <br />IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $73,155.55 FOR THE WHITE <br />ROAD RESURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised pursuant to law for bids <br />to perform the White Road resurfacing improvement project, the <br />terms of which are on file; and <br />WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid was that of S.E. Johnson <br />Companies, Inc., and the Village Engineer recommends that the award <br />of this contract be granted to such bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF NIAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, TNAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Director of Financ2 are <br />authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with S.E. <br />Johnson Compani2s, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $73,155.55 as <br />and for the White Road resur=acing improvement project, said bid <br />being attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that al1 formal <br />actions of this Council relating to.the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, sarety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereoi.
