ORDINANCE NO. 96-46 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH RAMWEAR, INC. FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT TURN OUT GEAR IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $8,690.00 WHEREAS, the Village has advertised for bids for new turn out gear for Fire Department employees; and WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid was that of Ramwear, Inc., at $869.00 per unit of gortex turn out gear. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: pQ 1 SECTION l. That the Mayor and Fire Chief are her y and herein directed and authorized to enter into an agre ent with Ramwear, Inc. for the purchase of ten (10) sets of go ex turn out gear for $869.00 each, pursuant to the bid attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is authorized to make payment, out of the appropriate fund for the items purchased and authorized in Section 1 hereof. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof.
