i,/ <br />• <br />1-2d-1997 1:55PM FROM DIEMERT/ASSOC_ 216 dd2 0825 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 97- ~S <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />.AN EMERGENCY.ORDINANCE <br />CREATING CERTAIN POSITIONS AND COMPENSATION <br />THEREFORE RELEVANT TO THE SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Recreation Committee is in the process of <br />establishing and preparing for the 1997 Summer Camp Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Recreation Committee to contract out <br />for certain, summer. camp employees; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Mayfield Village to authorize the "May-VIII Day <br />Camp" and to authorize those positions and salaries as hereinafter set forth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />t <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayfield Village Recreation Committee's establishment of <br />the "May-VIII Day Camp" is hereby and herein authorized, and the positions for the <br />operation of same are established as hereinafter set forth with the compensation indicated <br />adjacent thereto: <br />POSITION <br />SALARY <br />Camp Director <br />Drama Director <br />Jr. Camp Director <br />Senior Camp Counselor <br />Junior Camp Counselor <br />$ 5,800.00 <br />$ 3,500.00 - <br />$ 1,000.00 <br />$ 400.00 - $ 900.00 <br />$ 400.00 - $ 900.00 <br />.SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that al! formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of <br />this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121,22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety. and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio, and for the further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />than five {5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the <br />earliest time allowed by law. <br />P_ 2 <br />
