ORDINANCE NO. 97- 39 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br />SUMMER BREEZE LANDSCAPING, INC. FOR THE PURPOSE OF SNOW REMOVAL <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised, pursuant to law, for bids <br />pertaining to the removal of snow from the driveways of senior <br />citizens during the 1997-1998 winter season; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into an agreement with Summer Breeze Landscaping, <br />Inc. as and for snow removal from the driveways of senior citizens <br />as directed by the Mayor's office and the Director of Service, and <br />pursuant to the advertisement for bids and all bid specifications, <br />for an amount not to exceed One Hundred Forty-Eight Dollars <br />($148.00) per driveway for the contract period, plus Forty Dollars <br />($40.00) additional for circular drives, and payments to be made <br />pursuant to the specifications as advertised. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason <br />to encourage commercial development within Mayfield Village.
