RESOLUTION NO. 97- 11 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a V1lhole AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE SPECIAL USE PERMIT GRANTED TO THE MAYFIELD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH FOR AN ADDITIONAL THREE YEARS WHEREAS, the Village Council granted a special use permit on October 21, 1991, to the Mayfield United Methodist Church for a program now known as the "Open Arms Preschool"; and WHEREAS, the special use permit will expire on October 21, 1997; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to extend the special use permit granted by Resolution No. 91-96 for an additional three (3) years under the same terms and conditions as the original Fiesolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. That the special use permit granted to the Mayfield United IVlethodist Church for its Open Arms Preschool, formerly known as the "Mothers Day Out Program", is hereby and herein extended for an additional three (3) years, upon the same terms and conditions as set forth in Resolution No. 91-96, which are incorporated herein by reference. SECTIO(V 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of fVlayfield Village. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. ffl-ft/-Z?2& ARK IXLER, Council President
