,~ ORDINANCE N0. 90-23 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole AN ORDINANCE ENACTING NEW SECTION 131.06 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OIiIO PERTAINING TO THE AUTHORITY TO ISSUE APPEARANCE CITATIONS .FOR VIOLATION OF LOCAL ORDINANCES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO,. THAT: SECTION 1. There is hereby enacted new Section 131..06 pertaining to the. authority to issue appearance citations for violations of local Ordinances which that new Section 131.06 shall read as follows: Chapter 131 Mayor ., x ~ 131.06 AUTHORITY TO ISSUE APPEARANCE CITATIONS. Upon the directive of the Mayor persons holding the following positions within the Vill--age, are authorized to issue appearance citations for violation of local Ordinances: (a) Fire Department Personnel, in the enforcement of the Fire Code. (b) Building Commissioner/Service Director, in its enforcement of the Building and Zoning Code. (c) Auxiliary Police Officers, in its enforcement of Chapter 351 of the Codified Ordinances. SECTION 2. The Council finds and. determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have-been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open. to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.. SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared. to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and. welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that such. legislation is necessary to provide more efficient enforcement of the. Fire. Code, Building and Zoning Code and Parking Regulations. It shall., therefore,
