6/18/90 ORDINANCE N0. 90-26 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 171.04 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, INCREASING THE FEES FOR THE CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION FOR PLACES THAT PROVIDE LODGING OF TRANSIENT GUESTS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. Section 171.04 of the Codified Ordinance of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to increase the fees for a Certificate of Registration for places that provide lodging of transient guests so that new Section 171.04 shall read as follows: (Deleted material appears like ~iz~s and new material. appears like THIS) Chapter 171 Excise Tax on Lodgings .4 171.04 CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION; FEE; POSTING. Any person conducting or operating any place for lodging for transient guests shall., on a form prescribed by the Finance Director, within the first ten days of each calendar year, or within ten days after commencing such operations, make application to and procure from the Finance Director, a certificate of registration, the fee for which shall be-orre ~.o~.la.~ -($d.-.-9.Q~ FIFTEEN DOLLARS ($15.00), which certificate shall continue valid until December 31 of the year in which the same is issued. Such certificate of registration, or duplicate original copies thereof to be issued by the Finance Director without additional charge, shall be posted in a conspicuous place upon the premises. SECTION 2. All prior Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance .in whole or in part, are repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with this Ordinance. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council.; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
