6/18/90 <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90-26 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTION 171.04 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />INCREASING THE FEES FOR THE CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION <br />FOR PLACES THAT PROVIDE LODGING OF TRANSIENT GUESTS AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Section 171.04 of the Codified Ordinance of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, is hereby amended to increase the fees for a Certificate of Registration <br />for places that provide lodging of transient guests so that new Section 171.04 <br />shall read as follows: (Deleted material appears like ~iz~s and new material. <br />appears like THIS) <br />Chapter 171 <br />Excise Tax on Lodgings <br />.4 <br />171.04 CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION; FEE; POSTING. <br />Any person conducting or operating any place for lodging <br />for transient guests shall., on a form prescribed by the <br />Finance Director, within the first ten days of each calendar <br />year, or within ten days after commencing such operations, <br />make application to and procure from the Finance Director, a <br />certificate of registration, the fee for which shall be-orre <br />~.o~.la.~ -($d.-.-9.Q~ FIFTEEN DOLLARS ($15.00), which certificate <br />shall continue valid until December 31 of the year in which <br />the same is issued. Such certificate of registration, or <br />duplicate original copies thereof to be issued by the Finance <br />Director without additional charge, shall be posted in a <br />conspicuous place upon the premises. <br />SECTION 2. All prior Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance .in <br />whole or in part, are repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with <br />this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council.; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
