ORDINANCE 90- 44 <br />Page 2 <br />and/or services performed or amusements or entertainment for <br />the public offered. <br />(f) "Public building" means any meeting place, lodge room „ <br />church, library, school, dormitory, college, hospital, <br />sanitarium, nursery or other structure designed for use by <br />twenty-five or more persons. <br />1345.02 INSTALLATION IN NEW DWELLING UNITS. <br />Each dwelling unit, the construction of which is commenced <br />on or after the effective date of this section, (Ordinance <br />NO. 90-44 passed November 19, 1990) shall prior to the occupation <br />thereof be equipped with a properly installed mechanical garbage <br />disposal, which conforms to the specifications set forth in <br />Section 1345.04. <br />1345.03 INSTALLATION IN OTHER BUILDINGS. <br />Every building, store room, club, lodge, home, school, <br />business establishment or place, other than a dwelling unit, .the <br />use of which results in the production of garbage, and the <br />construction, remodelling or equipping of which is commenced on <br />or after the effective date of this section ( Ordinance NO. 90- <br />44, passed November 19, 1990), shall prior to the occupancy or <br />use thereof be equipped with a properly installed mechanical <br />garbage disposer which conforms to the specifications set forth <br />in Section 1345.04. <br />1345.04 REQUIREMENTS FOR MECHANICAL GARBAGE DISPOSERS. <br />(a) A mechanical garbage disposer shall not be installed or <br />accepted unless it meets all of the following minimum <br />specifications: <br />1. That it will operate with water flowing into the <br />grinder and through the sink and drain line; <br />2. That it will discharge. wastes at a reasonably <br />uniform rate, in the fluid form which shall flow <br />readily through an approved standard trap, drain <br />line or fail line, of the type and size required <br />in the present Dwelling House Code of the <br />Municipality, and in a manner which. will prevent <br />clogging or stoppage of the drain line or sewerage <br />system; <br />3. That it shall be of such construction and have <br />such operation characteristics that at least forty <br />percent of all material discharged from it shall <br />pass a number eight sieve, at least sixty-five <br />percent shall pass a number three sieve, and 200 <br />percent shall pass a one-half inch screen; <br />
