Whenever different or additional uniform items are required due to the promotion of a full-time member of the Police or Fire Department, the Municipality shall purchase those items for which receipted bills are presented together with an approval for payment from the Chief of the Department. 9. Each full-time member of the Service Department shall be reimbursed for work clothing purchased in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) per year. The Finance Director is authorized to make such distributions during January of each year. Receipted bills evidencing the purchases will be submitted to the Building Commissioner for his approval and then on the Finance Director for payment. The uniform allowance stated herein may also be used for uniform maintenance. 10. Each police officer, excluding the Chief of Police, shall be compensated in addition to the salary set forth in Section 1, for attendance required in Court if such appearance occurs while the police officer is not on duty. The police officer under these circumstances shall be paid at the officer's regular hourly rate as set forth in Subsection (a) hereinabove and shall receive a minimum of two (2) hours of such additional compensation. 11. In the event that a police officer, firefighter or service department employee is required to report for any duties other than those on his regular shift then such employee shall be compensated for such additional duties at his regular hourly rate of pay as set forth in Subsection (A) hereinabove. Under these circumstances, each such employee shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours additional compensation. All overtime shall be approved in advance by the Mayor unless there exists an emergency that threatens the health, safety and welfare of the Municipality. 12. There shall be no uniform allowance or maintenance for part-time police dispatchers or police secretaries. C. Longevity Schedule 1. "Years of service" shall be defined as the total number of twelve (12) month periods of service completed on or before December 31st of each year. Each twelve (12) month period used to compute years of service commences on the anniversary date of the employee's first date of employment and ends on the last day prior to the employee's next consecutive anniversary date. 2. The only service that shall be used to compute longevity pay shall be years of service as a full-time employee of Mayfield Village. 3. Each full-time employee of the Municipality shall be entitled to longevity pay increases in accordance with the following schedule:
