02/05/90 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-7 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING MARSHALL FORD TO BE THE <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE SALE TO THE <br />''` MUNICIPALITY OF TWO (2) POLICE CARS, <br />`AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO TER INTO A PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH MARSHALL FORD <br />IN AN AMO, T NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED <br />FORTY-EIG'T DOLLARS AND SEVENTY CENTS ($29,148.70) FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF HE TWO (2) POLICE CARS, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Vil°l~a~ge wishes to purchase two (2) police cars to <br />maintain efficient law enforcement in the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village,~n accordance with the law, advertised for <br />bids for the purchase of such vehi+cles; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council ways informed that no bids were submitted <br />within the time required in the advertisement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council authorized the Police Chief to obtain <br />informal bids for the purchase of two (2) pole cars; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village has an immediate n`~ d for the purchase of two <br />(2) police cars in accordance with the bid specifications; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHI~ THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with the informal bids received, Marshall Ford <br />is hereby declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the ale to the <br />Municipality of two (2) police cars. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby a~.,thorized and <br />direc d to-enter into a purchase agreement with Marshall Ford in\an amount <br />no to exceed Fourtc~n Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Dollars and Th\`irty-Five <br />C nts ($14,570.35) per automobile provided that said purchase agreeme t is in <br />a corflance with the specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />I ~~ ~ - -- <br />SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />
