RESOLUTION N0. 90-12 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen-and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL MECHANIC BY THE MAYOR, <br />SETTING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF <br />COMPENSATION AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The appointment by the Mayor of Ken Whitmer as Municipal <br />Mechanic of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby approved and confirmed, <br />effective January 1, 1990, and retroactive thereto. <br />SECTION 2. The Municipal Mechanic shall maintain and repair all munici- <br />pal motor vehicles and for the same shall be compensated on an hourly basis at <br />Twelve Dollars ($12.00) per hour for said services, based upon monthly bills <br />and statements of services, which shall be submitted by the Municipal Mechanic <br />and duly approved. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason of the necessity of <br />immediately providing for a Municipal Mechanic and establishing adequate <br />compensation therefore. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the <br />passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by <br />law. , <br />w ~ ,~L~o <br />LIL AN M.
