03/19/90 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90- 18 <br />INTRODUCED BY: MAYOR CARMEN AND COUNCIL AS A WHOLE <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO THE WALTER H. DRANE COMPANY <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF FOUR THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX DOLLARS <br />AND SEVENTY-ONE CENTS ($4,766.71) FOR UPDATING <br />THE VILLAGE CODIFIED ORDINANCES AND <br />OTHER SERVICES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield Village previously authorized the Mayor <br />and Director of Finance to execute a contract with The Walter Ii. Drane Company <br />for the recodification and updating of the Village Codified Ordinances; and <br />WHEREAS, between the dates of June 15, 1988, through January O1, 1990, <br />the Council has passed Ordinances so that, in order to be current, it requires <br />the updating of the Village Codified Ordinances; and <br />WHEREAS, the total charges for the update, together with the items <br />ordered by the municipality total Four Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-Six <br />Dollars and Seventy-One Cents ($4,766.71); now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1: The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to <br />pay to The Walter H. Drane Company the sum of Four Thousand Seven Hundred <br />Sixty-Six Dollars and Seventy-One Cents ($4,766.71) as and for the services <br />referred to hereinabove. <br />SECTION 2: The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the Resi- <br />dents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the payment authorized <br />herein is necessary for the Village to meet its contractual obligations.
