5/L1/90 RESOLUTION N0. 90- 37 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />- AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE <br />TO MAKE PAYMENT TO LOVE INSURANCE AGENCY, INC. <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF SEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED <br />TWENTY-NINE DOLLARS ($7,429.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />FIRE AMBULANCE MALPRACTICE AND FIRE FIGHTERS ERRORS AND <br />OMISSIONS LIABILITY INSURANCE FROM AMERICAN EMPIRE SURPLUS LINES <br />INSURANCE CO. FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 1, 1990, TO JUNE 1, 1991, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to <br />pay to Love Insurance Agency, Inc. the sum of Seven Thousand Four Hundred <br />Twenty-Nine Dollars ($7,429.00) for the purchase of fire ambulance malpractice <br />and fire fighters error and omissions liability insurance from American Empire <br />Surplus Lines Insurance Co. for the period of June 1, 1990, to June 1, 1991, <br />in accordance with the proposal for such insurance made by Love Insurance <br />Agency, Inc. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of <br />the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the insurance <br />purchased herein is necessary to protect the fire department employees in the <br />execution of their duties. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon <br />the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected <br />to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed <br />by law. <br />L <br />LL M.
