6/18/90 RESOLUTION N0. 90- 41 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE PAYMENT OF .SIX THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($6,400.00) TO PARADE FLOAT BUILDERS FOR THE RENTAL OF THREE (3) FLOATS FOR THE' 1990 HAYFIELD VILLAGE DAYS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, it was necessary to arrange. and contract for the rental of three (3) floats for the 1990 Mayf field Village Days Parade; and WHEREAS, it was necessary to contract for such rental so that the Village would be assured of providing a safe transport of the floats for a reasonable price in the Mayfield Village Days Parade; and WHEREAS, said service is only available from a limited number of reputable suppliers; WHEREAS, such contract was offset by donations from local businesses and merchants in the amount of Two Thousand. Dollars ($2,000.00); and WHEREAS, Parade Float Builders agreed to provide for the rental of three (3) floats for the 1989 Mayfield Village Days for a total amount of Six Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($6-,400.00) now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE.,. OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Council ratif ies the payment of Six Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($6,400.00) to Parade Float Builders for the rental of three (3) floats for the 1989 Mayfield Village Days. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with. all. statutory requirements including the: requirements of Section. 121.22 of~the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of
