6/18/90 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90- 41 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />RATIFYING THE PAYMENT OF .SIX THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED <br />DOLLARS ($6,400.00) TO PARADE FLOAT BUILDERS FOR <br />THE RENTAL OF THREE (3) FLOATS FOR THE' <br />1990 HAYFIELD VILLAGE DAYS <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, it was necessary to arrange. and contract for the rental of three <br />(3) floats for the 1990 Mayf field Village Days Parade; and <br />WHEREAS, it was necessary to contract for such rental so that the Village <br />would be assured of providing a safe transport of the floats for a reasonable <br />price in the Mayfield Village Days Parade; and <br />WHEREAS, said service is only available from a limited number of reputable <br />suppliers; <br />WHEREAS, such contract was offset by donations from local businesses and <br />merchants in the amount of Two Thousand. Dollars ($2,000.00); and <br />WHEREAS, Parade Float Builders agreed to provide for the rental of three <br />(3) floats for the 1989 Mayfield Village Days for a total amount of Six <br />Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($6-,400.00) now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE.,. OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council ratif ies the payment of Six Thousand Four Hundred <br />Dollars ($6,400.00) to Parade Float Builders for the rental of three (3) <br />floats for the 1989 Mayfield Village Days. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with. all. statutory requirements including the: <br />requirements of Section. 121.22 of~the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br /> <br />
