6/18/90 RESOLUTION N0. 90- 42 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE AUTHORIZED EXTRA: EXPENDITURES IN THE PREVIOUSLY AWARDED CONTRACT TO EAST JORDAN IRON WORKS FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN ADDITIONAL EIGHTY (80) BICYCLE.GRATES, AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO PAY SUCH EXPENDITURES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Council. of Mayfield Village, Ohio, has previously adopted Resolution No. 89-54 authorizing the Mayor and President of Council to execute a contract which East Jordan Iron Works for the purchase of 131 bicycle grates; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid Resolution further authorized and directed that such contract be executed in the amount not to exceed. Twelve Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-Six Dollars Thirty Cents (12,746.30) for the. aforesaid grates; and WHEREAS, following commencement of the installation. of such grates, the Municipality discovered that additional. grates would be required. in order to complete the installation of the grates throughout the Municipality; and. WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield Village is desirous of ratifying the aforesaid informal approval for the purchase of the additional bicycle grates in the amount of Nine Thousand. Seven Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars Thirty Cents ($9,722.30); now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL. OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHLO, THAT: SECTION 1. The contract previously executed with East Jordan Iron Works pursuant to Resolution No. 89-54, is hereby increased. for the purchase of an additional eighty (80) bicycle grates in the amount of Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars Thirty Cents ($9,722.30). SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized. and directed to make payment to East.. Jordan.. Iron Works in the additional amount authorized herein. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution. have been taken at
