RESOLUTION N0. 90-45 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING LAKE TRUCK COMPANY, <br />TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR <br />THE PURCHASE OF A 1991 TWO TON <br />INTERNATIONAL CAB AND CHASSIS WITH DUMP BODY <br />IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND <br />EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS, ($57,800.00), AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR SAID VEHICLE, <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to advertisement as <br />required by law, Lake Truck Company is hereby declared to be the lowest and <br />best bid for the purchase of one a 1991 International Cab and Chassis with <br />Dump Body. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute a purchase agreement with Lake Truck Company in an amount <br />not the exceed Fifty-Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($57,800.00) <br />provided that such purchase agreement is in accordance with the specifications <br />upon which the bid was received. <br />SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the purchase made herein is <br />necessary to maintain effective governmental services. It shall, therefore, <br />take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />
