RESOLUTION N0. 90-45 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION DECLARING LAKE TRUCK COMPANY, TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 1991 TWO TON INTERNATIONAL CAB AND CHASSIS WITH DUMP BODY IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS, ($57,800.00), AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR SAID VEHICLE, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to advertisement as required by law, Lake Truck Company is hereby declared to be the lowest and best bid for the purchase of one a 1991 International Cab and Chassis with Dump Body. SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a purchase agreement with Lake Truck Company in an amount not the exceed Fifty-Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($57,800.00) provided that such purchase agreement is in accordance with the specifications upon which the bid was received. SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the purchase made herein is necessary to maintain effective governmental services.
