PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO <br />ENTER INTO A CHANGE ORDER TO THE CONTRACT FOR THE SEALING <br />OF ASPHALT ROAD SURFACES WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY <br />WITH PAVEMENT TECHNOLOGY, INC., MAKING THE. TOTAL. <br />CONTRACT PRICE: TWENTY NINE. THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED <br />FORTY-SEVEN DOLLARS. AND FORTY-FIVE.. CENTS ($2.9,547.45) <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, in Resolution No. 90-30 the Village accepted the. bid. of Pavement <br />Technology, Inc., in the amount of Twenty Seven Thousand. Nine Hundred Fifty <br />Dollars ($27,950.00) for sealing of asphalt road. surfaces. within the Munici- <br />pality; and <br />WHEREAS.,. due unforeseen circumstances.,. the price. must be adjusted in the <br />amount. of One Thousand Five Hundred. Ninety-Seven Dollars and Forty-Five Cents <br />($1,597.45) for sealing of additional pavement area.; and <br />WHEREAS, one change. order totaling. One Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-Seven <br />Dollars and Forty-Five Cents ($1,597.45) has been. recommended for approval by <br />the Village Engineer; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council is hereby authorized. and <br />directed to enter into the change order to the contract. with Pavement Technol- <br />ogy, Inc., for the sealing of asphalt road surfaces within the Municipality, <br />so as to authorize the total amount to be paid for said project in the amount. <br />of Twenty Nine Thousand Five Hundred Forty-Seven Dollars. and Forty-Five Cents <br />($29,547.45). <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal. actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken. at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal. action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the. <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />_ immediately necessary for the. health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />Mayfield.Village, Ohio, for the reason of the immediate necessity of <br />
