8/ 27/90 RESOLUTION N0. 90- 54 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION DECLARING AERO-MARK INC. TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE STRIPING OF CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SAID BIDDER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS AND FIFTY-FIVE CENTS ($10,270.55) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received, pursuant to advertisement as required by law, Aero-Mark Inc., is hereby declared to be the lowest and best bid for the striping of certain streets within the municipality. SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Aero-Mark Inc. in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Two Hundred Seventy Dollars and Fifty-Five Cents ($10,270,55) for the aforesaid project provided that said contract is in accordance with the specifications upon which the bid was. received. SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements. including the requirements of Section 121.22. of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 5: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health,. safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the contract authorized herein is necessary to maintain effective traffic control through- out the municipality.
