8/27/90 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-55 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE <br />TO PAY FIVE THOUSAND THIRTY-THREE DOLLARS ($5,033.00) <br />FOR HAYFIELD VILLAGE'S CONTRIBUTION FOR SYSTEMS <br />EQUIPMENT IN CONJUNCTION WITH SPAN MEMBER <br />COMMUNITIES FOR UPGRADING OUR POLICE. <br />COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, in coordination with other SPAN communities, <br />determined that in order to provide uniform police. communication between the <br />various departments, it was necessary to purchase compatible equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Governments for SPAN requested an additional Five <br />Thousand Thirty-Three Dollars ($5,033.00) from Mayfield Village for the <br />purchase of the second phase of the 420 Systems Equipment upgrade.; and <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that in the best interests of the resi- <br />dents and transients of Mayfield Village, it is required. that all SPAN commu- <br />nities purchase compatible communication systems; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Director of Finances is hereby authorized and directed to <br />pay SPAN the sum of Five Thousand Thirty-Three Dollars ($5,033.00) as and for <br />Mayfield Village's contribution to the,. second phase of the 420 Systems <br />Equipment upgrade. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all. formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption. of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action., took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22. of the Ohio Revised, Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution. is hereby declared. to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the payment <br />authorized herein is necessary for the Village to participate with other <br />communities in providing essential governmental services. It shall, there- <br />fore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not <br />
