9/-10/90 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90- 55 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN INFORMAL. <br />BID FROM PROGRESSIVE LANDSCAPING DESIGN <br />TO PROVIDE SNOWPLOWING FOR THE <br />ELDERLY AND DISABLED RESIDENTS OF <br />HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Municipality initiated a snowplowing program. for the <br />Mayfield Village residents who are elderly and disabled.; and <br />WHEREAS, for purposes of the snowplowing program for the Mayfield Village <br />residents, the elderly include those persons born before January 1, 1931; and <br />~n~TF:RFAS, the elderly and disabled can participate in the snowplowing <br />program upon the payment of one-half (1/Z) of the cost of the snowplowing by <br />November 15, 1990; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, Ohio, has received a bid from Progressive <br />Landscaping Design to provide such snowplowing service for the elderly and <br />disabled at a rate of Ninety-Five Dollars ($95.00) per drive; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council. further feel that there is an immediate <br />need for the health, safety and welfare of the elderly and disabled. residents <br />to maintain their drives free and clear of snow; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized to <br />enter into an agreement. with Progressive Landscaping Design for snowplowing <br />service for the elderly and disabled in the amount of Ninety-Five Dollars <br />($95.00) per drive, in accordance with the bid submitted by said Company. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines.. that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this. Resolution have been taken. at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that. deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took. place in meetings open <br />
