9/-10/90 RESOLUTION NO. 90- 55 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN INFORMAL. BID FROM PROGRESSIVE LANDSCAPING DESIGN TO PROVIDE SNOWPLOWING FOR THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED RESIDENTS OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Municipality initiated a snowplowing program. for the Mayfield Village residents who are elderly and disabled.; and WHEREAS, for purposes of the snowplowing program for the Mayfield Village residents, the elderly include those persons born before January 1, 1931; and ~n~TF:RFAS, the elderly and disabled can participate in the snowplowing program upon the payment of one-half (1/Z) of the cost of the snowplowing by November 15, 1990; and WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, Ohio, has received a bid from Progressive Landscaping Design to provide such snowplowing service for the elderly and disabled at a rate of Ninety-Five Dollars ($95.00) per drive; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council. further feel that there is an immediate need for the health, safety and welfare of the elderly and disabled. residents to maintain their drives free and clear of snow; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement. with Progressive Landscaping Design for snowplowing service for the elderly and disabled in the amount of Ninety-Five Dollars ($95.00) per drive, in accordance with the bid submitted by said Company. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines.. that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this. Resolution have been taken. at open meetings of this Council; and that. deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took. place in meetings open
