9/10/90 RESOLUTION N0. 90-57 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council. as a Whole. <br />A RESOLUTION <br />_ DECLARING SCORDOS PAINTING COMPANY <br />TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BID FOR THE. <br />EXTERIOR PAINTING OF THE HAYFIELD VILLAGE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />BUILDING, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT <br />OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID BIDDER, <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant. to advertisement as <br />required by law, Scordos Painting Company is hereby declared to be the lowest <br />and best bid for the exterior painting of the Mayfield Village Fire Department <br />Building. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President. of Council are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute a contract with said bidder in an amount not to exceed <br />Three Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($3,450.00) provided that the same <br />is in accordance with the specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and. of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal. action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the contract <br />is necessary for the required improvement of the Mayfield Village Fire <br />Department Building.. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the <br />passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council. and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by <br />law.
