9/17/90 RESOLUTION N0. 90-61 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE REGIONAL INCOME TAX AGENCY FOR CERTAIN COMPUTER SERVICES WITHIN THE FINANCE AND BUILDING DEPARTMENTS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) has acquired a computer facility together with personnel with the capability to furnish services to municipalities other than income tax collection; and WHEREAS, in order to provide for efficient operation of the Finance Department it has been deemed necessary to upgrade the equipment for tape backup capability for the total cost of Fifteen Thousand One Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($15,168.00) per year; and WHEREAS, in order to provide certain computer services for the the Building Department it was deemed necessary to obtain certain computer services for a total cost of Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-Two Dollars ($9,792.00) per year; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village have determined that it would be economical and desirable for the Municipality to contract with RITA for the furnishing of certain computer services; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have further determined, upon the recom- mendation of the Director of Law, that no competitive bidding is required for the services purchased herein pursuant to Section 735.053 of the Ohio Revised Code based upon the fact that RITA constituted a governmental agency; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement with the Regional Income Tax Agency for certain computer services including, in the Finance and Building Departments, a copy of said agreement being attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein as if fully rewritten, which shall be approved by the Director of Law prior to execution.
