9/17/90 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-62 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING TRAFFIC CONTROL PRODUCTS, INC., <br />TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR <br />THE MODIFICATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION AT <br />WILSON MILLS AND SOM CENTER ROAD IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED <br />EIGHT THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED THIRTY EIGHT DOLLARS <br />NINETY CENTS ($8,938.90), AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT <br />OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR SAID SERVICES, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to advertisement as <br />required by law, Traffic Control Products, Inc. is hereby declared to be the <br />lowest and best bidder for the modification of traffic signalization at Wilson <br />Mills and SOM Center Road. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute an agreement with Traffic Control Products, Inc. in an <br />amount not the exceed Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty Eight Dollars Ninety <br />Cents ($8,938.90) for the aforesaid services provided that said contract is in <br />accordance with specifications upon with the bid was received. <br />SECTION 3. Council hereby declares that Traffic Control Products, Inc. <br />was the only bidder and, therefore, no other bids need to be rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the contract authorized herein is <br />necessary to maintain effective traffic safety. It shall, therefore, take <br />effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />
