9/17/90 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-63 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING CLASSIC CHEVROLET, <br />TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR <br />THE PURCHASE OF A 1991 CHEVROLET CAPRICE <br />FOUR DOOR STATION WAGON IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED <br />SIXTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED THIRTY TWO DOLLARS <br />EIGHT CENTS ($16,132.08) LESS TRADE-IN, AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR SAID VEHICLE, <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to advertisement as <br />required by law, Classic Chevrolet is hereby declared to be the lowest and <br />best bidder for the purchase of a 1991 Chevrolet Caprice Four Door Station <br />Wagon. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with Classic Chevrolet in an amount not the <br />exceed Sixteen Thousand One Hundred Thirty Two Dollars Eight Cents <br />($16,132.08) less the trade-in of a 1986 Chevrolet Classic Station Wagon in <br />the amount of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00), for a net amount of Twelve <br />Thousand One Hundred Thirty Two Dollars Eight Cents ($12,132.08), provided <br />that such contract is in accordance with the specifications upon which bid was <br />received. <br />SECTION 3. Council hereby declares that Classic Chevrolet was the only <br />bidder and, therefore, no other bids need to be rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting. in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of 'the residents of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the contract authorized herein is <br />necessary to maintain effective governmental services. It shall, therefore, <br />take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />
