RESOLUTION NO. 91- 09 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and the Entire Council <br />A RESOLUTION <br />OF APPRECIATION TO CHRIS DEGRANDA FOR <br />HIS ASSISTANCE TO THE HAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, Chris DeGranda was serving as a Life Guard at the <br />Mayfield High School Swimming Pool on Saturday, January 5, 1991; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, during his service, he administered <br />Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to a Mayfield School District <br />Resident who suffered a heart attack; and <br />WHEREAS, because of his efforts, the Mayfield Village Fire <br />Department was successful in reviving the resident; and <br />WHEREAS, Chris DeGranda is deserving of an expression of <br />appreciation for his heroic efforts in coming to the assistance <br />of an area resident; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, hereby extend their deep appreciation and thanks to Chris <br />DeGranda for his efforts in assisting the Mayfield Village Fire <br />Department in successfully reviving a heart attack victim. <br />SECTION 2. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and <br />directed to prepare duplicate original copies of this Resolution. <br />One such original shall be presented to Chris DeGranda as a small <br />token of the esteem in which he is held by the residents, <br />officials and employees of Mayfield Village, Ohio. The other <br />original shall be placed in the permanent records of the Village <br />as a lasting tribute to Chris DeGranda. <br />SECTION 3.
